Jhe 2023 Toyota Kluger will get a new 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine from the first quarter of next year, replacing the long-running 3.5-liter V6.
The new engine promises increased efficiency and response for Australia’s second most popular large SUV (sales to date are second only to its Toyota Prado sibling) by employing a number of technical advances; like a new turbocharger, optimized fuel injection and longer piston stroke.

The Toyota Kluger also receives further safety and convenience updates for 2023. The 4.2-inch center display on entry GX variants will be replaced with a 7.0-inch color display, while the The current 8.0-inch infotainment screen on the GXL and Grande will upgrade to an impressive 12.3-inch touchscreen.
All Klugers from 2023 will also be offered with a free three-year subscription to Toyota Connected Services, leveraging an integrated Data Communication Module (DCM) that enables convenient safety services, including Automatic Collision Notification (notifies automatically the emergency call center in the event of a collision), SOS emergency call and stolen vehicle tracking.
Further details, including pricing, will be announced closer to the expected arrival of the Kluger update in the first quarter of 2023.
